OBITUARY - Lohnes, Edward A. Sr. age 88, of Brooklyn Center, formerly of NE Mpls., passed away Dec. 1, 2010 after a short illness.
Mr. Lohnes was born and raised in Spirit Lake, North Dakota, and was an enrolled member of the Spirit Lake Dakota Nation.

He was preceded in death by wife, Eunice Viola; brother, Roger; sisters, Lily, Margaret, Marion and Theresa. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Sophie; children, Darlene Johnson, Diane Lohnes, Florence Saros, Edward Jr. (Jo), George Leiner (Deb), Linda Hood (Jeff), Anne Marie Johnson (Kai), Kimberly Lohnes, Maria Plaster (Jeff); many grandchildren and great- grandchildren; brothers, Eugene, Paul and David; sister, Elizabeth; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was a decorated (bronze star) WWII Army Veteran and FMC retiree.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Wed., Dec. 8 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, St. Anthony Pkwy & Stinson Blvd., St. Anthony.
Visitation 4-8 PM Tues. with vigil service 7 PM at the funeral chapel and in the church atrium 1/2 hour prior to Mass.
