Frito Lay Food Drive and Diversity Food Delivery
Mrmbers of the Frito Lay/Repsi-Co RISE program, along with two Marines, count the amount of food rised at at thier regional conference held at Treasure Island Resort and Casino during the first week of October.
Frito Lay has been working with Native American Causes since 2005.
Frito Lay held their annual food drive during the months of September and October and collected over 3,000 pounds of food. The picture on the right shows members of the Frito-Lay - PepsiCo Rise program, along with two members of the U.S. Marine Corps, overlooking the food which was collcted to help the people who live on the Crow Creek Reservation in central South Dakota.
The Diversity Foundation wishes to thank Frito-Lay/PepsiCo in supporting us with our continual efforts in helping to provide educational and job opportunities to Native American and Inner City Youth as well as the Dakota Reconciliation & Outreach efforts.
And a big Thank-You to Prairie Island and their on-going support over these past 5 years in helping us with out "Bridging the Cultural Gap" Outreach work of which so much more remains to be done! With our joint dfforst, we can continue to strive to improve conditions and give some "Hope" to the many impoverished elders, youth & friends at the Crow Creek Indian Reservation, one of the poorest reservations in the country with an upemployment rate between 85 and 90 percent! and where their food shelves nearly always remain empty!

Diversity Foundation, Inc. Delivers Food to Crow Creek
